Hamid’s Proposal
A riff-off off Jonathan Swift’s A Modest Proposal, this short satire reimagines an architectural project amid a failing nation-state, economic inflation and the world’s largest non-nuclear explosion. It contends with and amplifies absurdity to the point of rupture: architecture frames container truck drivers racing their trucks against eachother to salvage metal scraps. Those would then be sold for a one-way ticket away from the country, severing their contract and ties with the land.
